Our CCT class has had a fun time building stick boats and wood burning over the past few weeks! Creative Critical Thinking
The Bears (7th-12th grade) had a wonderful afternoon listening to Handel as they continued working on their Audubon bird sketches. Mrs. L-Dub read to them some more interesting facts about Handel’s life. We absolutely love this group of older students enjoying nature & art together.

The Cedar House outdoor theatre presents: Andrew Peterson’s,
A sketch & watercolor lesson with Mrs. Alyssa! For our John James Audubon unit she is helping the kids learn to draw and paint birds as realistic as possible through observation and technique. We love the way Mrs. Alyssa captures the attention of the kids and clearly explains art in such a way that they get it. I can not wait to see their final drawings next week!
Mrs. Alyssa taught the kids a wonderful lesson on how to sketch birds and use their water colors properly to get a more realistic effect. We were amazed at how the children’s drawings improved! This was a wonderful lesson to go along with our John James Audubon & Texas Birds Unit.
